Start at the Salthill Promenade, walking along the coastline. Enjoy the views of Galway Bay as you walk towards the city. Continue along the promenade until you reach the end, where you'll find the entrance to the main road, the R336. Turn left onto the R336 and walk towards the city center. After about 10-15 minutes, you will reach the intersection with the Eglinton Street. Cross over Eglinton Street and continue straight onto Lower Salthill Road. As you walk, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the city center.

Walk along Forster Street, passing by the train station on your right. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the end of Forster Street.

At the traffic lights, cross over to the other side of the road and turn right onto the Quay Street. Follow Quay Street until you reach the busy Shop Street area. Walk straight through Shop Street, and you will eventually see the Cathedral's spires in the distance.
