Start your journey from the center of Sligo by heading towards O'Connell Street. Walk northwest along O'Connell Street until you reach the junction with Quay Street. Turn left onto Quay Street and continue until you reach the River Garavogue. At the riverbank, take a right and follow the riverside path. This scenic route will lead you along the river, passing the Yeats Memorial Building on your way. Continue walking until you reach the bridge at the end of the path. Cross the bridge and soon after, you will see a sign for Doorly Park. Continue straight ahead, and you will find the entrance to Back Avenue Doorly Park, which leads to the pier on the Garavogue.
