From the centre of Sligo, head northeast on O'Connell St towards The Mall. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Quay St (approximately 700 meters). Turn left onto Quay St and walk for about 200 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the N4 road towards Donegal. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the bus station on your right. From there, take a bus to Donegal Town, which will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Donegal Town, exit the bus station and head southwest on Lower Main St. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach Castle St. Turn left onto Castle St, and Donegal Castle will be on your left at Saint Helenes.
