Bus
From Sligo town, head to the Bus Eireann station located at 10, Coach Station, O'Connell Street. Take the bus heading towards Donegal (Bus Route 64). Inform the driver that you want to get off at Gleniff, which is approximately 20-25 minutes away from Sligo. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Gleniff, you will be close to the entrance of Gleniff Horseshoe.
Walking
After getting off the bus at Gleniff, walk towards the Gleniff Horseshoe trailhead. From the bus stop, walk along the main road (R287) for about 1 km until you see signs for Gleniff Horseshoe. The entrance to the hiking trail will be on your right. Follow the path that leads into the scenic area, where you can start exploring the beautiful landscapes and views of the horseshoe.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Sligo town. After renting, cycle from Sligo towards Gleniff, following the same route as the bus (R287). It is about 12 km from Sligo town to Gleniff Horseshoe. The route is relatively flat and offers beautiful views along the way. Once you reach the area, park your bicycle at the entrance and enjoy your visit.
