Car
If you're traveling by car, start by either heading to one of the main towns in The Burren, such as Lisdoonvarna or Ballyvaughan. From Lisdoonvarna, take the R477 road towards the coast. After about 10 minutes, turn onto the N67 towards Ballyvaughan. Continue on the N67 and turn left onto the R476 towards Glenquin. Follow the R476 until you see signs for the Peak of Burren. There is limited parking available close to the site, so be sure to arrive early, especially during peak tourist season.
Public Transportation
Unfortunately, there is no direct public transport to the Peak of Burren. However, you can take a bus from Galway to either Lisdoonvarna or Ballyvaughan. From Lisdoonvarna, you would need to take a taxi to the Peak of Burren, which could cost around €15-€20. Alternatively, you can take the bus to Ballyvaughan and then arrange for a taxi from there. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for the most accurate times, as they can vary.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route from the village of Glenquin. From the village, follow local trails or paths that lead up towards the Peak of Burren. This hike may take about 1-2 hours depending on your pace, and it is recommended to wear sturdy footwear and carry water. The views along the way are stunning, so take your time to enjoy the landscape.
