Note that parking may be limited near the lake, so be prepared to park along the roadway.

To reach Auger Lake using public transportation, take a bus from Killarney to Kate Kearney's Cottage, which is the nearest bus stop to Auger Lake. Buses run regularly, and the fare is approximately €5. Once you arrive at Kate Kearney's Cottage, you can either walk (about 3 kilometers) towards the Gap of Dunloe or hire a local taxi to take you directly to Auger Lake.
