The Majestic Brandon Mountain: A Hiker's Paradise

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Tralee, head south on the Main Street toward the Town Park. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Castle Street. Turn right onto Castle Street. Follow Castle Street as it curves right and becomes the R558 road. Keep walking along this road, and after about 3 kilometers, you will reach the junction with the R561. Turn left onto the R561. Continue along this road for approximately 6 kilometers, passing through picturesque countryside. You will see signs for Faha and Brandon. Follow the signs, and after about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at Brandon Mountain, which is located in Faha, Co. Kerry. The views are stunning, so take your time to enjoy the scenery!

• Bicycle

  From the Tralee Town Park, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head south on the Main Street and turn right onto Castle Street. Follow Castle Street as it curves to become the R558 road. Cycle for about 3 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R561. Turn left onto the R561. Continue cycling for about 6 kilometers, enjoying the beautiful landscape. Look out for signs directing you to Faha and Brandon Mountain. After about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at the base of Brandon Mountain.

• Public Transport

  From the Tralee Bus Station, take a bus heading to Dingle or Faha (check the bus schedule for exact routes and times). Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Faha. Once you disembark, follow the local signs toward Brandon Mountain, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus stop. The route will take you through the charming countryside of Faha, leading directly to the mountain.
