Public Transportation - Train
To reach Carrickfergus Castle via public transport, take a train from Belfast Lanyon Place station to Carrickfergus station. Trains are frequent and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Carrickfergus station, exit the station and walk towards the seafront. Head towards the Marine Highway, and you will see signs directing you to the castle, which is about a 15-minute walk from the station.

You can also take a bus from Belfast to Carrickfergus. Look for the Translink bus services that operate from the Europa Bus Centre in Belfast. The bus journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Carrickfergus bus stop and walk towards the Marine Highway. The castle is within a 10-minute walk from the bus stop, with clear signage along the way.
