    From Waterford City, head to the nearest bus stop at the Apple Market. Take the Bus Éireann route 837 towards Kilkenny. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Get off at Kilkenny Castle stop. From there, walk towards the castle and then continue on Castle Road until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Coach Road. St Canice's Cathedral will be on your left-hand side.

    Make your way to Waterford Train Station located on the Quay. Board a train heading to Kilkenny. The train ride will take around 30 minutes. Disembark at Kilkenny Train Station. From the station, exit onto the main road and take a right onto Walkin Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Coach Road. St Canice's Cathedral will be on your left.

    If you are in central Waterford, start at the O'Connell Street. Head north until you reach the junction with the Quay. Turn left onto the Quay and follow it until you reach the bus station (approximately 20 minutes). From the bus station, you can take the bus as described above or follow the walking route along the River Nore, which leads to Kilkenny. It is approximately a 1 hour and 30-minute walk to St Canice's Cathedral, following the riverside path and then making your way to Coach Road.
