    From the center of Westport, head east on Bridge Street towards the Quay. Continue straight until you reach the River Carrowbeg. Cross the bridge and turn left onto the Greenway path. Follow the Greenway for approximately 7 km. After about 45 minutes of walking, you will reach the village of Cong. Once in Cong, follow the signs towards Saint Mary's Church, located on Abbey Street, Cong South, which is the main entrance to Cong Wood.

    From Westport, walk to the Westport Bus Station located on Station Road. Take the Bus Eireann Route 440 towards Galway, which stops in Cong. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cong, walk towards Abbey Street. You can follow the signs to Saint Mary's Church, which is the entrance to Cong Wood.
