Car
From the Wicklow Mountains, take the N11 road heading north towards Dublin. After approximately 30 km, take the exit for the R113 towards Dalkey. Follow the R113 until you reach the town of Dalkey. Once in Dalkey, look for the Dalkey Pier where you can park your car. From there, you will need to take a boat to Dalkey Island. Several companies operate boat trips from Dalkey Pier, and the ride to the island takes about 15 minutes.
Public Transportation
From Wicklow Mountains, take a bus to Dublin City (Bus Eireann or a local service). Once in Dublin, transfer to the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) train towards Bray. Get off at Dalkey Station. From the station, it's about a 15-minute walk to Dalkey Pier where boats to Dalkey Island depart. Make sure to check the boat schedule ahead of time, as they may vary depending on the season.
