If you are traveling by car, the best route to Scarr is to start from the main town of Wicklow. Head northwest on the R752 road towards the village of Laragh. Continue on the R752 until you reach the junction with the R115. Take a left onto the R115 and follow the road until you see signs for Scarr. Park your car at the designated parking area near the trailhead for Scarr. Please note that parking may incur a fee of around €5 for the day.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Dublin to Wicklow Town. Once you arrive in Wicklow Town, transfer to the bus service heading towards Laragh. Get off at the stop nearest to the R115 junction. From there, it’s about a 2 km walk to the trailhead for Scarr. Make sure to wear proper walking shoes for the trek. The bus fare from Dublin to Wicklow Town is approximately €10-€15, and the Laragh bus should cost around €5.
