Car
If you're traveling by car, make your way to the N81 road from any point in Wicklow Mountains. Follow the N81 towards Baltinglass. After approximately 10 km, turn left onto the R756 road towards Kilbeg. Continue on the R756 for about 5 km until you see signs for Sorrel Hill. There is a parking area at the base of the hill where you can leave your car. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, so have some coins handy.
Public Transportation
To reach Sorrel Hill using public transport, take a bus from Dublin to Blessington, which operates regularly. Once you arrive in Blessington, you will need to take a taxi to reach Sorrel Hill, as public transport does not directly service the area. The taxi ride should take around 15-20 minutes and may cost approximately €20-€25. Make sure to arrange a return taxi ahead of time, as services may be limited.
Walking
If you're already nearby and prefer to walk, start from the Kilbeg village and follow the path that leads up Sorrel Hill. The walk is approximately 2 km and takes about 30-40 minutes of moderate hiking to reach the summit, where you will enjoy stunning views of the Wicklow Mountains. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and bring water.
