Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Ballasalla railway station, exit the station and head northwest on Station Road. Continue straight for about 0.2 miles until you reach the junction with the A5. Turn left onto the A5 and walk along the pavement. After approximately 0.5 miles, you will see a sign for Douglas. Continue walking straight for another 1.5 miles, passing various shops and residential areas. As you approach the town, keep following the A5 until you enter Douglas. Look for Kingswood Grove on your right. The Manx Museum will be located at 1 Kingswood Grove, just a short walk from the main road.

  • Bus

    From Ballasalla, walk to the nearest bus stop on the A5, which is about a 5-minute walk from the center of Ballasalla. Catch the bus towards Douglas (look for bus numbers 1 or 2). The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the bus stop nearest to the Manx Museum. After disembarking, walk a short distance to Kingswood Grove, where the museum is located at number 1.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Ballasalla. Start from the center of Ballasalla and head northwest on Station Road. Continue straight and follow the A5 towards Douglas. There are designated bike lanes along parts of the route. The ride will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Once you reach Douglas, look for Kingswood Grove on your right, and the Manx Museum will be at the address 1 Kingswood Grove.
