Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Douglas Head, start by heading southeast on Douglas Head Road. Continue straight for about 1 mile. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A2 road, also known as the Promenade. Follow the A2 for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the next roundabout. Take the first exit onto Kingswood Grove. The Manx Museum will be on your left at 1 Kingswood Grove. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Manx Museum via public transport from Douglas Head, walk to the nearest bus stop located on the Promenade. Board the bus heading towards the town center (look for services that go to 'Douglas'). The journey should take around 10 minutes. Disembark at the stop closest to Kingswood Grove. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Manx Museum, located at 1 Kingswood Grove. Bus fares may vary, so keep some change or a contactless payment option handy.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, head down Douglas Head Road towards the Promenade. Once you reach the Promenade, turn left and walk along the coast. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, turn left onto Kingswood Grove. The Manx Museum will be located a short distance down on your left at 1 Kingswood Grove. The walk should take you approximately 20-25 minutes, and it’s a scenic route along the coast.
