Car
From Glen Maye, head north on the A1 road. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach Douglas. Follow the signs for the A2 towards the seafront. Once you arrive at the promenade, park your car at one of the public car parks available along the promenade. From there, walk towards the water, and you will see the Tower of Refuge situated on St Mary's Isle, just offshore.

Public Transportation
Take the bus from Glen Maye to Douglas. Bus services such as the 1 or 2 will take you directly to the Douglas bus station. Once in Douglas, disembark and walk towards the promenade. The Tower of Refuge is visible from the promenades, but to get a closer view, walk along the seafront until you reach the area where you can see St Mary's Isle. Note that bus fares may vary, so check the current rates before travel.

If you are already in Douglas, you can walk to the Tower of Refuge from the promenade. Start at the Douglas Harbour and head south along the promenade, keeping the sea on your right. Continue walking until you reach the area of St Mary's Isle. While you cannot access the tower directly, this walk offers great views and photo opportunities.
