Getting There

    From the center of Peel, walk to the bus stop located at the bus station on the main road (A27). Take the bus route 1 or 2 towards Douglas. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Laxey stop. From there, follow Mines Road on foot for about 10 minutes until you reach The Great Laxey Wheel.

    If you prefer to walk, head east from the center of Peel towards the A27. Follow the A27 out of Peel, which will turn into the A14. Continue walking along this road for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach Laxey. Once you enter Laxey, take a right onto Mines Road, and The Great Laxey Wheel will be a short walk down this road on your left.

  • Bicycle

    For the adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Peel. Start by cycling east on the A27, then merge onto the A14. Continue for about 2.5 miles until you reach Laxey. Once in Laxey, turn right onto Mines Road, and you will find The Great Laxey Wheel just a short distance ahead on your left.
