Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Port Erin Railway Station. Exit the station and head towards the main road (Station Road). Turn left onto Station Road and continue until you reach the junction with the A5 (the main road). Turn left onto the A5 and walk towards the direction of the sea. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A27 (Shore Road). Walk along Shore Road for approximately 15 minutes, enjoying the coastal views. You will see signs for the Balladoole Heritage Site as you approach. The site is located near the coast, so look for paths leading towards the water. Follow the signs to reach the heritage site.

    From Port Erin, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Station Road, just outside the Port Erin Railway Station. Catch the bus heading towards Castletown (Bus Route 1 or 2). After a short ride, get off at the Balladoole stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 5 minutes towards the coast, following the signs for the Balladoole Heritage Site. The site is located near the water, so you should be able to see it from the area.
