Getting There

• Bus

  To reach Mary's Spring in Jerusalem from Ashdod, start by heading to the Ashdod Central Bus Station. You can take bus number 380 or 381, which both head to Jerusalem. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, follow the signs to the light rail station nearby. Take the light rail towards Mount Herzl, and get off at the 'City Hall' station. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to Mary's Spring, which is located in the area of Ein Kerem.

• Train

  Begin your journey at the Ashdod Ad Halom train station. You can catch a train to Tel Aviv, and from there, transfer to a train heading to Jerusalem. The train ride from Ashdod to Tel Aviv takes around 30 minutes, and from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, it takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon station, exit the station and take a taxi or rideshare to Mary's Spring in Ein Kerem, which is about a 20-minute drive from the station.

• Shared Taxi (Sherut)

  From Ashdod, you can take a shared taxi (sherut) to Jerusalem. These taxis can be found at designated sherut stops, usually near bus or train stations. The shared taxi will take you directly to Jerusalem and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive, ask the driver to drop you off near the Ein Kerem area, which is where Mary's Spring is located. From there, it’s a short walk to the spring.

• Walking + Public Transport

  If you prefer a more scenic route, you can walk to the nearby Ashdod Central Bus Station. Take bus number 380 or 381 to Jerusalem. Once you reach Jerusalem, walk to the Old City, then catch a bus or taxi to Ein Kerem. This may take longer but allows you to explore more of Jerusalem along the way.
