Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Tel Aviv, take Route 1 towards Jerusalem. Follow the signs for Jerusalem and merge onto Highway 1. Continue on this highway until you reach the signs for the city center. Once you arrive in Jerusalem, look for signs directing you to the Old City. You can park at one of the designated parking lots near the Old City, such as the Mamilla Parking Lot. After parking, walk towards Jaffa Gate, which is the main entrance to the Old City. The Tower of David is just a short walk from there, located near the entrance.

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Buses leave frequently from the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station. Look for the Egged buses heading to Jerusalem (lines 480 or 486 are common options). Once you arrive at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, exit the station and take light rail Line 1 towards Mount Herzl. Disembark at the City Hall station. From there, you can either walk straight to Jaffa Gate or take a short taxi ride. The Tower of David is located just outside the Old City walls, near Jaffa Gate.
