Bus
To reach Wadi Rum Protected Area from Eilat, start by heading to the Eilat Central Bus Station located at Ha'atzmaut Street. You can take a taxi or walk to the station if it's nearby. Once at the bus station, look for the bus heading towards Aqaba, Jordan. The buses to Aqaba run frequently, so you should not have to wait long. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Upon arriving in Aqaba, you will need to go through border control to enter Jordan. Make sure to have your passport and any necessary visas ready. After crossing the border, you can take a taxi from the Aqaba bus station to Wadi Rum. The taxi ride will take around 1 hour.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Eilat directly to Wadi Rum. You can find taxis near most hotels or at taxi stands throughout the city. The drive to Wadi Rum will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to negotiate the fare with the driver before starting your journey or confirm that the taxi uses a meter. This option allows you to avoid the border crossing hassle with public transport.
