Walking
From your current location in Ein Gedi, head east towards the main road (Route 90). You will walk about 10 minutes to reach the bus stop at Ein Gedi Junction. Once you arrive at the bus stop, look for bus number 486, which travels to Jerusalem. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure time.
Bus
After boarding bus number 486, sit back and enjoy the scenic ride. The bus will take approximately 1 hour to reach Jerusalem. Once you arrive in Jerusalem, disembark at the main bus station. From there, you can take a local bus or use public transportation to get closer to the Dung Gate.
Walking
From the main bus station in Jerusalem, walk towards the direction of Jaffa Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with King George Street. Turn left onto King George Street and follow it until you reach the Old City. Look for signs directing you to the Dung Gate, which is located on the southern side of the Old City walls. It will take about 15-20 minutes to reach the Dung Gate on foot.
