Walking
To get to Mar Elias Monastery from Ein Gedi, start by walking towards the main road, Route 90. Head north on Route 90 for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the bus station. From there, take the bus to Jerusalem. It's important to check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive at the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem, exit the station and head towards the light rail station. Board the light rail heading towards 'Mount Herzl' and get off at the 'City Hall' stop. From there, you can take bus number 66 which will take you directly to Hebron Rd. Get off at the stop for Mar Elias Monastery, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
