Car
If you are driving, start from the main road in the Golan Heights, Route 98. Head towards the town of Ein Zivan. After passing Ein Zivan, continue north for about 5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the entrance to Black Canyon, which will be on your right. The parking area is available near the entrance for a small fee, usually around 20 NIS. From the parking area, it's a short walk to the canyon entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Black Canyon via public transportation, take a bus that operates within the Golan Heights. You can catch a bus from major towns like Katzrin or Majdal Shams. The bus route to Ein Zivan is recommended. Once you arrive at Ein Zivan, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers north along Route 98. Please ensure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary, and expect a fare of around 15-30 NIS for the bus ride. Taxis are also available from Ein Zivan to the canyon if you prefer not to walk.
Biking
For adventurous visitors, biking is another viable option. You can rent a bike in towns like Katzrin or Ein Zivan. From Ein Zivan, head north along Route 98, which is approximately 5 kilometers. The terrain is mostly flat but watch out for occasional traffic. Ensure you have a helmet and water, as the area can get hot. Renting a bike typically costs around 100 NIS for the day.
