Public Bus
If you are starting from the Old City, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the Damascus Gate. From there, take bus number 1 or 3 towards the City Center. Once you reach the City Center, transfer to bus number 75, which will take you directly to Gethsemane. The stop you'll want to get off at is called 'Gethsemane.' The entrance to the site is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
From the Old City, exit through the Lion's Gate. As you exit, take a left on the path that leads you to the Mount of Olives. Continue walking straight for approximately 20-30 minutes, following the signs towards Gethsemane. The path will lead you through some beautiful olive groves. You will arrive at the entrance of Gethsemane, which is located at the foot of the Mount of Olives.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing Service
From wherever you are in Jerusalem, you can request a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Gett or Uber. Simply input 'Gethsemane' or 'Garden of Gethsemane' as your destination. The drivers in Jerusalem are familiar with the location, so you should have no trouble finding your way. The journey will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
Tram
If you are near the City Center, you can take the light rail tram from the 'City Hall' station. Ride the tram towards 'Mount Herzl' and get off at the 'Hebron Road' stop. From there, it's about a 15-20 minute walk to Gethsemane. Follow the road signs towards the Mount of Olives, and you will find your way to the site.
