Getting There

  • Car

    From the center of Shephelah, take Route 44 towards Jerusalem. Continue on Route 44 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 1. Merge onto Route 1 towards Jerusalem. After about 15 kilometers, take the exit towards the city center and continue onto Sarei Yisrael Street. Follow the signs to Al Alam Street. The Church of the Flagellation will be on your left at Al Alam 2-8.

    From Shephelah, take a bus from the nearest bus station heading to Jerusalem. Buses such as the 400 or 450 run frequently. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the 'Jerusalem Central Bus Station'. From there, take light rail Line 1 towards 'Hospital Hadassah'. Get off at the 'City Hall' station. Walk north along King George Street, then turn left onto Al Alam Street. The Church of the Flagellation will be at Al Alam 2-8.
