Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of West Jerusalem, make your way to the intersection of King David Street and Agron Street. From there, head east on Agron Street until you reach the entrance of the Old City at Jaffa Gate. The walk should take around 20-25 minutes. Once you enter the Old City, follow the signs toward the Western Wall. Make sure to walk through the Armenian Quarter and then into the Jewish Quarter, where you will eventually reach the Western Wall.

• Public Bus

  You can take a bus from the central bus station in West Jerusalem. Look for bus lines 1, 2, or 38, which head towards the Old City. The bus ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Jaffa Gate. From Jaffa Gate, follow Agron Street to the entrance of the Old City and then navigate to the Western Wall as previously described.

• Light Rail

  If you are near the light rail station in West Jerusalem, take the light rail towards the City Center and get off at the 'Kotel' station. This is the closest station to the Western Wall. After disembarking, follow the path that leads you directly to the Western Wall. The entire journey, including walking, should take around 20 minutes.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare service like Gett or Uber. Simply input 'Western Wall' as your destination. This option may be more expensive, typically costing around 30-50 NIS but can save you time and effort, especially if you're carrying bags or traveling in a group.
