Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the center of Jerusalem. Head southeast on Derech Hebron (Route 60) for about 20 km. You will see signs for Herodion National Park. Follow the signs and turn left onto the access road leading to the park entrance. There is parking available at the site, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee. Make sure to check the park hours before your visit; it is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, except on Fridays when it closes at 4:00 PM.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Herodion National Park via public transport, you can take bus number 19 from Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station towards Tekoa. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. After reaching the Tekoa stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to the park entrance. Please ensure to check the bus schedules ahead of your visit, as they may vary. The entrance fee to the park is around 28 NIS for adults, and it’s advisable to carry cash as electronic payment options may not be available.
