If you're driving, start on Route 1 (the Jerusalem Tel Aviv Highway). Follow the signs towards Jerusalem. After crossing the entrance to Jerusalem, stay on the main road until you reach the first major intersection. Turn right onto Hebron Road (Derech Hebron). Continue straight for about 5 kilometers. Look for the Mar Elias Monastery on your left, just after passing the local shops and before the main junction.

To reach Mar Elias Monastery using public transportation, first head to the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem. From there, take bus number 32 or 35, which travels along Hebron Road. The bus will take about 20 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to notify you when you reach Mar Elias Monastery. The stop is located just before the monastery entrance. Once you get off the bus, walk a short distance on foot to the monastery.
