Getting There

Walking
From Manger Square in Bethlehem, head towards the main road leading out of the square. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Star Street. Turn left onto Star Street and continue walking until you reach the traffic circle. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto Bethlehem Road (also labeled as Hebron Road). Continue straight along Hebron Road for approximately 3 kilometers. The Mar Elias Monastery will be on your left side, identifiable by its distinct architecture. It’s advisable to look for the sign indicating the monastery as you approach.

Public Transport
From Manger Square, walk to the nearby bus station (located slightly south of the square). Take bus number 21 or any minibus heading towards Hebron. Inform the driver that you are going to Mar Elias Monastery. The journey will take roughly 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the stop closest to Hebron Road, disembark and continue walking on Hebron Road for about 5 minutes. The Mar Elias Monastery will be on your left.
