Walking
If you are in the central area of Masada, head towards the main entrance of the Masada National Park. From there, follow the signs towards the cable car station. Once you reach the cable car station, purchase a ticket for the cable car to take you to the top of Masada. After enjoying the views and exploring, make your way back to the cable car station and descend back to the base. From there, you will need to take a bus or taxi to Madaba, which is approximately 1.5 hours away.

To reach Madaba from Masada, first walk to the main bus terminal located near the entrance of the Masada National Park. Look for a bus heading towards Madaba or a bus that is going to the nearest major city, and ask the driver to stop at Madaba. The bus ride may take about 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Madaba, you can ask locals for directions to the Fortress of Machaerus, which is a historic site located in the vicinity.

You can hire a taxi from the Masada National Park entrance to take you directly to the Fortress of Machaerus in Madaba. It is advisable to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
