Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Nazareth, walk to the Nazareth Central Bus Station located at Ha-Hagana St 10. Look for buses heading towards Daliyat al-Karmel, which is a nearby town. The bus ride should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Daliyat al-Karmel bus stop, exit the bus and look for signs directing you to Deir Al-Mukhraqa Carmelite Monastery. It's about a 20-minute walk uphill from the bus stop. Follow the main road and take the left turn when you see signs for the monastery.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Nazareth. Simply ask the driver to take you to Deir Al-Mukhraqa Carmelite Monastery in Daliyat al-Karmel. The taxi ride will take about 20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and want to experience the local scenery, you can walk to Daliyat al-Karmel from Nazareth. Start at the Basilica of the Annunciation, head southeast on Paul VI St, then continue onto Ha-Nassi St. Follow the signs towards Mount Carmel, which will lead you out of Nazareth. The distance is approximately 7 kilometers and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the walk is mostly uphill.
