Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, head towards Mitzpe Ramon. From the main road (Route 40), take the exit for Mitzpe Ramon. Once in Mitzpe Ramon, follow the signs toward the Ramon Crater (Makhtesh Ramon). Keep driving on HaTal Road until you reach the Desert Star, located at latitude 30.6100468 and longitude 34.8080783. There is free parking available on site.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Be'er Sheva to Mitzpe Ramon (Bus line 64 or 66 operated by Egged). The bus ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Mitzpe Ramon bus station, you can either take a taxi to Desert Star or walk about 20 minutes. If walking, head east on HaTal Road until you reach the Desert Star.

    If you prefer a direct route from Mitzpe Ramon to Desert Star, consider taking a taxi. Taxis are available at the Mitzpe Ramon bus station. The taxi ride should take approximately 10 minutes and cost around 40-50 shekels.
