Getting There

• Driving

  If you are driving, start by navigating to Mitzpe Ramon. From the main road (Route 40), take the exit towards Mitzpe Ramon. Follow the signs leading you into the town. Once in Mitzpe Ramon, continue straight until you reach the entrance of the 'חניון לילה נקרות מערב' (Nekrot West Parking Lot). The Mobile Observatory - Astrofan is located here. Ensure you have a GPS or a map application, as mobile service can be spotty in remote areas.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mitzpe Ramon via public transport, take a bus from major cities such as Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to Mitzpe Ramon. Once you arrive at the Mitzpe Ramon bus station, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) to the Nekrot West Parking Lot or use a local taxi. If walking, head south from the bus station on the main road and follow it until you reach the parking area. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service from your location in Negev to the Mobile Observatory - Astrofan. Simply provide the address 'חניון לילה נקרות מערב, Mitzpe Ramon' to the driver. This option is more convenient if you are traveling with a group or have luggage, though it may incur higher costs compared to public transportation.
