Getting There

  • Bus

    From Safed, head to the Safed central bus station (תחנת אוטובוס מרכזית צפת). You can ask locals for directions if you're unsure. Take a bus headed towards Qatzrin. It's important to check the bus schedule, as it may vary. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. The nearest stop to Gamla Nature Reserve is the Qatzrin junction (צומת קצרין).

  • Walking

    Once you arrive at the Qatzrin junction, you'll need to walk to Gamla Nature Reserve. Head east along Route 87, then follow the signs for Gamla Nature Reserve which will direct you to the entrance. The walk is approximately 4 km and will take about 50 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

  • Combination of Bus and Taxi

    Alternatively, from Safed, take a bus to Qatzrin. Once you reach Qatzrin, you can take a taxi directly to Gamla Nature Reserve. Taxis can be found near the bus stop. This option will save you time and is recommended if you prefer not to walk the 4 km.
