Walking
If you are starting from the Safed Old City, head towards Jerusalem Street. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Ha'atzmaut Street. Turn left onto Ha'atzmaut Street and continue walking for about 200 meters. You will then see signs pointing towards the Citadel. Follow the signs, and after another 500 meters, you will arrive at the entrance to Safed Citadel.

If you are near the Safed Artist Quarter, start at the main plaza and head southeast on HaRav Kook Street. Walk for about 400 meters until you reach the junction with Ha'atzmaut Street. Turn right onto Ha'atzmaut Street and continue walking straight for about 600 meters. Keep an eye out for signs leading to the Citadel, which will be a short distance ahead on your left side.

Look for signs indicating the Safed Citadel, and you will find the entrance shortly after.
