From the center of Tiberias, head to the main bus station located on HaGalil Street. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 30 minutes. The bus will stop at Capernaum, and you will see signs directing you to the archaeological site and other attractions.

Shared Taxi (Sherut)
Find a shared taxi (known as Sherut) at the main taxi stand in Tiberias. These taxis usually leave when they are full, so you may wait a bit for other passengers. Request to go to Capernaum, and the driver will take you directly there. The journey may take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, head north from the center of Tiberias towards the lakefront promenade. Follow the promenade until you reach the northern end of the city, then continue along the shoreline road. The distance is about 5 kilometers and will take approximately an hour. Enjoy the views of the Sea of Galilee as you walk, and keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Capernaum.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Tiberias. Once you have your bike, head north along the lakefront promenade and continue on the road heading towards Capernaum.
