Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Amalfi Cathedral (Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea) located in the main square of Amalfi. From the cathedral, head down Via Lorenzo di Amalfi towards the coast. After about 200 meters, take a left on Via delle Cartiere. Continue walking until you reach the Amalfi Marina. From the marina, you can catch a ferry to Naples. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour and will take you directly to the port of Naples.

    Once you arrive at the port of Naples, disembark the ferry and head towards the main exit of the port. Follow the signs for the Metro (Line 1) or take a short walk to the nearest Metro station, which is called 'Università'. From Università station, take the Metro Line 1 towards 'Piscinola'. After four stops, get off at 'Garibaldi' station. From Garibaldi, follow the signs to the Circumvesuviana train station located adjacent to the Metro station.

    At the Circumvesuviana train station, purchase a ticket for the train to 'Sorrento'. The train departs regularly, so check the schedule for the next available train. Once on board, enjoy the scenic ride along the coast. Get off at 'Sorrento' station, which is approximately a 1-hour journey. From Sorrento, you will find buses and taxis that can take you to various destinations along the Amalfi Coast.
