Foot
From the center of Amalfi, head towards the main road (Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi) that runs along the coast. Walk along this road, enjoying the scenic views of the coastline. Continue straight until you reach the bus stop for SITA buses located near the Amalfi Cathedral. Here, you will catch a bus to Positano. Board the bus and enjoy the ride, which takes approximately 30 minutes, as it winds through the beautiful cliffs. Once you arrive in Positano, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, follow the signs to Spiaggia Grande, which will lead you down a series of steps. Continue walking until you reach the beach area, Positano Spiaggia.
Water Taxi
If you prefer a more scenic route, you can take a water taxi from the Amalfi port. Head to the port area, located near the main square (Piazza Flavio Gioia). Look for the water taxi service booth. Purchase a ticket for Positano and wait for your boat. The ride typically takes about 20-25 minutes and offers stunning views of the coastline. Once you arrive at the Positano port, follow the path that leads to Spiaggia Grande, descending the steps until you reach the beach area, Positano Spiaggia.
Bus
To reach Positano Spiaggia from Amalfi, start at the main square of Amalfi (Piazza Flavio Gioia). Locate the SITA bus stop, which is near the exit of the square. Purchase your ticket from the kiosk or the bus driver. Board the SITA bus heading towards Positano. The journey will take around 30 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way. Once you arrive at the Positano bus terminal, follow the signs towards the beach. You will need to walk downhill, and there will be signs directing you to Spiaggia Grande, where Positano Spiaggia is located.
