Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Bergamo train station, exit the station and head straight onto Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the Porta Nuova, a historic city gate. From there, turn left onto Via XX Settembre and continue walking until you reach the Piazza Matteotti. At Piazza Matteotti, take Via Sant'Orsola on your right. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Via Gombito, which will lead you directly to Torre del Gombito. The tower will be visible as you approach.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Bergamo train station, you can take bus number 1 or 1A towards 'Città Alta' (Upper Town). Get off at the 'Funicolare' stop. From the Funicolare station, you can take the funicular up to the Upper Town. Once you exit the funicular, walk straight onto Viale delle Mura. Continue walking until you reach the Piazza Vecchia. From the Piazza Vecchia, head towards Via Colleoni and take a left onto Via Gombito. Torre del Gombito will be ahead on your left.

  • Walking from Città Alta

    If you are already in Città Alta, start at Piazza Vecchia. From there, walk towards the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. Once you reach the basilica, head down Via Gombito which is adjacent to the basilica. Torre del Gombito is located at the end of this street and will be easily visible.
