Funicular
From the city center of Bergamo, head to the lower station of the funicular railway located at Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. You can reach it by walking or taking a local bus. Once you arrive at the funicular station, purchase a ticket from the machine, and board the funicular heading towards Brunate. The ride takes about 10 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Once you arrive at the upper station in Brunate, exit the funicular and walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach Piazza Bonacossa on your left.
Bus
From the city center, find the bus stop near the Piazza Matteotti area. You can take Bus Line 1 or 2 towards Brunate. Make sure to check the schedule for the next departure. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Brunate stop and walk uphill for about 10 minutes. Follow the signs towards Piazza Bonacossa, which will be on your right as you approach the top of the hill.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can start at the city center and head towards Via Guglielmo d'Alzano. Follow this road uphill for about 1.5 kilometers. The walk is steep but offers beautiful views along the way. Continue straight as the road turns into Via Roma, and eventually, you'll reach Brunate. Once in the center of Brunate, follow the signs to Piazza Bonacossa, which is located about 500 meters from the main road.
