    Getting There

    Train

    From Lugano, head to the Lugano train station (Stazione di Lugano). You can reach the station by walking or taking a bus (lines 1, 2, or 3). Once at the train station, purchase a ticket to Como. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Como, exit the train station and follow the signs to Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, which is a short 10-minute walk away. Head straight on Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi, then turn left onto Via Vittorio Emanuele. Continue until you reach the piazza.

    Bus

    From Lugano, go to the main bus terminal (Stazione Autobus di Lugano). You can reach it by walking or taking a local bus. Look for a bus heading to Como; the FlixBus or other regional services can be used. The journey will take around 40-50 minutes. After arriving at Como, disembark and walk towards Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow Via Vittorio Emanuele until you reach the piazza.

    Ferry

    If you prefer a scenic route, take a ferry from Lugano to Como. Head to the Lugano Ferry Terminal, which is near the city center (you can walk or take a local bus). Purchase a ferry ticket to Como. The ferry ride takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Como ferry terminal, exit and follow the promenade until you reach the main square, Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, which should take around 10-15 minutes on foot.
