Piazza Pio XI: A Tranquil Gem in the Heart of Milan

Getting There

• Bus

  From the city center of Bergamo, head to the 'Bergamo FS' bus station, which is located near the train station. Look for the bus lines that go to Milan. You can take bus line 1 or 6 towards Milan. The journey will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the 'Milano Centrale' bus station, follow the signs to the metro station.

• Train

  Make your way to 'Bergamo FS' train station, which is easily accessible from the city center. Purchase a ticket for a train to 'Milano Centrale'. The train ride takes approximately 50 minutes. After arriving at 'Milano Centrale', follow the signs to the exit, and you can either take a bus or walk to Piazza Pio XI.

• Metro

  From 'Milano Centrale' train station, follow the signs to the metro. Take Line 3 (the yellow line) towards 'Como'. Get off at the 'Duomo' stop, which is one of the central points of Milan. From there, you can walk to Piazza Pio XI. Simply exit the metro station and head south towards the 'Piazza del Duomo'. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with 'Via della Spiga', and then turn right. Piazza Pio XI will be a short walk ahead.

• Walking

  If you are already near the Duomo area, you can easily walk to Piazza Pio XI. It is located about 1.5 km from the Duomo. Head south on 'Via del Ricordo' and then turn left onto 'Corso di Porta Romana'. Continue straight until you reach the Piazza Pio XI. It should take you around 20 minutes on foot.
