    If you are in the center of Bologna, start at Piazza Maggiore, which is the main square. From there, head east on Via Rizzoli until you reach Via Ugo Bassi. Turn right onto Via Ugo Bassi and continue straight until you reach Via Indipendenza. Turn left onto Via Indipendenza and walk until you see the Bologna Central Train Station (Stazione Centrale) on your right. From the station, take a train to Ferrara. Once you arrive at Ferrara station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop in front of the station. Take the bus number 1 towards 'Centro' and get off at the 'Corso Ercole I d'Este' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Via Vignatagliata. Just walk straight down Corso Ercole I d'Este, then turn left onto Via Vignatagliata. The Ghetto Ebraico will be on your left at number 39.

    Train

    From Bologna, head to the Bologna Centrale Train Station. You can take the Metro or a local bus to get to the station if you are not within walking distance. At the station, purchase a ticket to Ferrara. Trains to Ferrara run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once you arrive at Ferrara station, exit and walk towards the main bus terminal in front of the station. Catch bus number 1 towards 'Centro' and get off at 'Corso Ercole I d'Este.' Then, walk straight down Corso Ercole I d'Este and turn left onto Via Vignatagliata, where you will find the Ghetto Ebraico at number 39.
