If you are starting from the central Piazza Maggiore, head east on Via Rizzoli until you reach Via Ugo Bassi. Turn left onto Via Ugo Bassi and walk straight until you reach Via Indipendenza. Turn right and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via Bagni di Mario. Take a left onto Via Bagni di Mario, and the Valverde Cistern will be on your left at number 10.

From Bologna Centrale Train Station, exit and head to the bus terminal located right next to the station. Take bus number 20 or 21 towards 'San Donato' or 'Mazzini'. Get off at the 'Via Bagni di Mario' stop. After getting off the bus, walk back a few meters, and you will find the Valverde Cistern at number 10 on your left.
