The Chiesa Parrocchiale di Sant'Andrea, dedicated to the Apostle Andrew, has been Brunate's parish church since 1654. The church's origins trace back to the 14th century when Elena and Andreola Pedrali founded a monastery nearby. However, some accounts suggest a place of worship existed here even earlier, possibly as far back as the 6th century.The building has undergone several transformations over the centuries. In 1654, under the direction of the Bishop of Como, it was almost entirely rebuilt. Further decorative enhancements followed in subsequent years. Between 1927 and 1932, a central-plan structure was added to accommodate the growing number of worshippers.The church's exterior reflects its 20th-century renovations, showcasing a Neo-Renaissance facade. Inside, visitors can admire the 15th-century fresco of Saint Guglielma and the Blessed Maddalena Albrici, 17th-century paintings by the Recchi brothers, and the late 19th and early 20th-century decorations. The church also houses a notable organ. The church provides a tranquil atmosphere and a vantage point for spectacular views of Lake Como and the Alps.
