Getting There

  • Walking

    From the city center of Bergamo, head towards the Funicolare (cable car) station at Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Take the Funicolare to the upper town (Città Alta). Once you arrive at the top, follow the signs to Piazza Vecchia and the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. From there, walk down Via Gombito until you reach the intersection with Via Colleoni. Continue straight onto Via Colleoni, which will lead you to Piazza del Duomo. The Museo del Novecento is located at P.za del Duomo, 8 in Milan. This route may take around 1 hour and 15 minutes of walking.

  • Train

    From Bergamo train station, board a train to Milano Centrale. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Milano Centrale, follow the signs to the Metro. Take Metro Line 3 (the yellow line) in the direction of Duomo. Get off at the Duomo station, which is just a short walk from the Museo del Novecento. Exit the station and head towards Piazza del Duomo. The museum is located at P.za del Duomo, 8. This entire journey should take around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  • Bus

    From Bergamo, take the ATB bus line 1 from the train station or the main bus terminal to Milan. The bus will drop you off at the central bus station in Milan. From there, you can walk to the Duomo area, which takes about 15 minutes. Follow the signs towards the Duomo, and once you reach Piazza del Duomo, the Museo del Novecento is located at P.za del Duomo, 8. The total travel time, including the bus ride and walking, should take about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
