    From the Como Lago train station, walk along Viale Lecco for about 10 minutes. The Terme Romane are located at Viale Lecco 9, within the Autosilo Valduce parking garage. The entrance to view the ruins is inside the parking structure.

    From Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, where the main bus station is located, the Terme Romane are approximately 0.5 km away. You can reach the Terme Romane by walking for less than 10 minutes. Alternatively, several bus lines operate in the area. Check local bus schedules for the most up-to-date information.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Como. A short taxi ride from the city center or train stations to Viale Lecco 9 will cost approximately €6.50 base fee, plus €3.0 per kilometer. The total fare will likely be around €21.5 for a 5km ride.

    If driving, the Autosilo Valduce is located directly above the Terme Romane at Viale Lecco 9. Parking rates at Autosilo Valduce are approximately €1.50 for the first hour and €2.00 for each additional hour from 6:30 to 20:30. From 20:30 to 6:30, the first hour is €1.50, the second hour is €3.50, and subsequent hours are €0.50 each. These rooms likely functioned as caldaria (hot rooms) and frigidaria (cold rooms), showcasing the advanced engineering of Roman thermal baths. Studies suggest that the original complex was one of the largest in the Roman Empire outside of Rome.Today, visitors can explore the site via elevated walkways that provide views of the excavated ruins and recovered plasterwork. The unusual setting beneath a modern parking structure adds a layer of intrigue to the experience, contrasting ancient history with contemporary urban life.
