Some believe that Leonardo da Vinci may have contributed to the fresco known as “Madonnone”. The villa also housed Leonardo's drawings and machines, which were left to Giovanni Francesco Melzi. Today, Villa Melzi remains a private property, owned by the Melzi d'Eril family.
