Getting There

• Bus

  From the main bus station in Bergamo (Stazione Autolinee), take bus number 9 towards 'Lecco'. The bus will take you along a scenic route. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop 'Magreglio - Chiesa'. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to Madonna del Ghisallo. Head east on Via Adua, and follow the signs to the sanctuary.

• Train and Bus

  Head to the Bergamo train station (Stazione di Bergamo) and take a train to 'Lecco'. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lecco station, exit and catch bus number 1 towards 'Magreglio'. Get off at the 'Magreglio - Chiesa' stop. From there, it's a short 15-minute walk to Madonna del Ghisallo along Via Adua.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk from the city center of Bergamo to Madonna del Ghisallo. Start at the Città Alta (Upper Town) and head down towards the funicular station. Take the funicular down to the lower town, then follow the signs to Via Sant'Alessandro. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Adua, and turn left. Follow Via Adua for about 6.5 kilometers, which will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way!

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Bergamo to Madonna del Ghisallo. You can find taxis near major attractions or call one from your hotel.
